The Breakers

While we were in Rhode Island, we took our own tour of the Newport mansions. "The Breakers" was the Vanderbilt family's summer house. This mansion was our favorite. Newport was where the nation's influential families had homes in the 19th and early 20th century. I can just imagine all the glamorous parties that were thrown at this estate.

Popsi, my dad-in-law, posing as a statue. All the people touring the mansion with the audio guide glued to their ears, were very interested in this lifelike statue.

What a fun day!
