Dad flew into town last week, and we have had so much fun! We decided to take the advice of a Danish friend and visited Frederiksborg Slot in Hillerød. The Renaissance castle was built in the beginning of the 17th century. Christian IV often used the castle as a residence. This castle burned down in 1859 and was later rebuilt and converted to a national museum. The castle is now owned by the Carlsberg family. (At least that is what we were told.)
The well-maintained Baroque garden was breathtaking. We got stuck in a torrential downpour while we were touring the garden and decided head back to the train station. It was a long and wet ride home on the train.
Last week I made another pair of Hammer pants, so Ethan and I are twins. I made the pants out of Liberty of London fabric and love how they turned out. I was very careful when I cut the fabric, so all the peacock feathers line up on the pants. The material is a wool/cotton blend so they are the perfect weight for fall.
