Asher's baby quilt

I have been making this quilt for our new nephew, Asher, over the last several months.  Asher was born last weekend in Seattle and we have enjoyed getting to know him this last week over Skype.  It's hard to believe that he and his little Danish cousin will only be a month apart!

I used Melanie's tutorial to make the blocks and it was really a fun quilt to make.

I used fabrics from my scrap bin and cut into some Japanese prints, Liberty of London, and other designer prints that weren't too girly.

Welcome to the world, Baby Asher!  We love you!

Isn't he a doll?

It's my birthday today, but we all have a nasty flu that is really sticking around, so we are going to take it pretty easy today. My sweet hubby is making me breakfast at this very moment, so the day is off to a good start.

Yes, Asher IS a doll. He will know his loving Aunt Emma when he is wrapped in his beautiful quilt. Thinking of you ALL today and especially the birthday girl! Much love from Mill Creek.

Happy Birthday Emma and Happy Birthday Asher! The quilt is awesome! Glad you finally got to show it off now that the little one has shown his cute little face. I can wait until our little lady decides to show up too! She's going to be the best dressed little lady this side of the Mississippi, and that's a pretty big space now that we're in CPH!
Love you stinka!
