Weekend Excursions

We had such a fun and relaxing weekend. Our Australian friends, Pat and Jess, took us to Tivoli on Friday. The only word to describe it is MAGICAL. I have never seen more pumpkins in my life. There were shops set up everywhere--full of fall treats. I'm still thinking about the apple donuts we tried with powdered sugar and jam. YUMMY!

We went on two huge bike rides this weekend, too. (This is our favorite family activity.) We biked to church on Sunday which took over an hour. I know next week we won't miss the entire sermon!

Aaron made chicken soup, chai tea lattes, and played with Chase and Ethan, so I could sew for two days straight. I am making progress on the Liberty quilt. Pictures will be forthcoming.

For the first time last week I realized that I really LIKE it here--there is so much to like. I am feeling pretty grateful.

yay! so glad you're liking it. did you have chai tea lattes inspired by me? I've been so into them. I don't think I'd had one for at least 10 years!

Thanks, gals! Dacia--I had a craving for one a couple of months back and didn't want to pay ten bucks for one, so I learned how to make them. There is a great tea shop near our house that carries tasty chai. It is such a fun and easy drink to make!

Emily, You are so lucky to have visitors and to be happy with where you are. I am still trying to get settled to the point where I can feel like that where I am. Miss you and keep happy!
