You Can't Touch This!

Most of the women in Denmark are wearing pants like these in Liberty fabric with ballet flats or "gladiator" sandals. At first I vehemently opposed these MC Hammer style pants. After all, I never followed this trend in the early '90s, so I wasn't about to start now. Oh wait...my ENTIRE FAMILY had matching Hammer pants and coordinating shirts. I know I have a picture somewhere...

Anyway, I bought the pattern and it was in Danish, so when Google Translate turned the directions into Danglish jibberish, I had to "make it work" without directions. I didn't have my serger, so I enclosed the raw edges in 5 meters of double-fold bias tape, which was well worth the trouble. I really like the final result, and I saved a bundle because these pants retail for $300 USD. (Did you know that Copenhagen is the world's 7th most expensive city in which to live?!)

We went to a flea market with our neighbor, Sharon, and she surprised me with this dress form. She is a huge fan of Project Runway and knew that I would love it. She was right!

These pants are so cute and look great on you! Good work! I'm so proud of the fact that you just see something you like and decide to make it. YOU ROCK!

You are so talented! I can only imagine the difficulty trying to translate from danish! Question though...what kind of shoes do you wear with them? just sandals? love you!
