Weekend sewing

Over Easter weekend I did some sewing for some special little people in our life.  I made these dresses from a pattern found in Heather Ross' Weekend Sewing book.
Can I tell you how fun these shirred dresses are to make?  I think I need to make one for Addison.  Once the dresses are outgrown, the straps can be cut off and they can be worn as skirts.
This pink dress is made from a piece of Indian fabric that my brother and sis-in-law-to-be sent me.  It is a light weight fabric and perfect for this project.
I hope these dresses are worn a bunch and loved this summer!

Couldn't be cuter unless a little one was modeling them. You have talent, Em!

Ellie loves hers and will definitely wear it a lot! It looks cute with a white onsie under it (since our weather is still crummy in the NW). Thank you thank you! I love that she can wear it as a skirt, too. I'm going to try to make a couple more this summer :) xx
