Christmas Highlights

My in-laws came to visit over Christmas and we had so much fun!  Here are a few highlights from their trip.  We loved...

watching Ethan stare down the presents under our tree.
going to Henrik and Ulla's for dinner Christmas Eve.
eating a traditional Danish dinner at Henrik's Christmas Eve.  (Yes, I was the crazy American taking pictures of my food.)
lighting the candles on the Christmas tree.
dancing around the Christmas tree with the little man.
watching Ethan open his presents Christmas morning.  He had so much fun!
going on walks in downtown Copenhagen.
making boeuf bourignon on New Year's Eve in my new dutch oven.  It turned out sooo good!
the fireworks along the lakes downtown.
 visiting Roskilde, in central Zealand.
taking a peek at the large church in Roskilde.  (This is where the royal family is buried.)
finding out that we will be having a girl this May!  I am already planning a quilt. :)

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and are having a happy New Year!

You're a great writer, Em. It's fun to read your captions. Thanks for sharing your holiday fun. Love the Ethan pictures- he WAS staring down those presents, wasn't he!

We had such a lovely time...hanging out in your cozy home, walking in the snow down magical streets, getting Ethan to mimic anything we said, eating way too much, games, you name it, it was wonderful!
